Muskegon, Mich.,  — The World War II-era submarine Silversides (SS 236), a national landmark and a museum, is seen at "full dress ship" in Muskegon, Mich. The crew of USS Kingfisher (MHC 56), toured the submarine during Kingfisher's visit to Muskegon as part of Great Lakes Cruise 2000. The Navy sponsors the annual cruise to raise awareness of the Navy to the people of the Great Lakes Region and promote recruiting. This year is also the U.S. Navy's Submarine Centennial.
