Military Scholarship FundAnheuser-Busch is proud to support the CDR.
William S. Stuhr Scholarship Fund. The Fund is a tax-exempt philanthropic Trust Fund
dedicated to helping the sons and daughters of members of the Armed Services with their
higher education. The Trust Agreement creating the Fund was signed on January 18, 1965
with a grant of $6,189.83.
During its 32 years history the Fund has awarded scholarship s to 160
high school military dependents of the five Armed Services to further their education at
colleges and universities throughout the USA.
The scholarship winners are chosen in cooperation with the Services on
the basis of superior academic performance, demonstrated leadership potential and
financial need. The winners come from the homes of both enlisted personnel and
commissioned officers. Of the five winners last year, two were Valedictorians and one
Salutatorian, and this standard of excellence continues each year.
Scholarship applicants were from forty-one states,
Germany and Japan and the twenty winners are studying in 18 different universities.
Students educated in foreign-based Department of Defense Schools are well represented.
