Application Submission Information
Eligibility Requirements
1. Must be a high school Senior
2. With Junior year and first half of Senior year average grades in top
5%/10% of her/his class, with extracurricular activities, and evidence
of leadership potential.
3. A bona fide family member of an active duty or retired "officer
or active duty" Armed Service member.
4. Planning to attend a four-year accredited college.
5. Prepared to be guests of CDR William S. Stuhr Scholarship Fund awards
ceremony given in May or June in the year of 2,000. (American Airlines
will provide transportation to the ceremony for selected students and
their parents).
Application forms
become available from mid-October to January 10th, and the completed
application deadline is February 1st, which may be extended to February
15th for first semester senior year grades.
